Selva has enjoyed a career spanning both the financial sector and the education and training sectors and has worked for a wide range of high-profile global companies.
Clients included global organisations such as Pricoa, Rockspring, Fortress, Goldman Sachs and Prudential Financial Inc. amongst others.
Some of his major achievements include involvement in raising over $1.5 billion of capital, tax restructuring and the coordination of IPOs.
Regent Group, a family business was jointly founded by Selva in 2000 and he was initially involved as a Non-Executive Director, whilst simultaneously working as a Finance and Investment professional.
Selva has delivered leadership development and coaching for many years, always ensuring that participants receive an enriching experience. He studies avidly himself and has worked with world renowned management thinkers from across the globe.

He continues to participate in executive training, when time permits, to enhance his knowledge and experience at a senior level; and it is this love of business and leadership education, coupled with his desire to share its benefits, that drove him to develop and launch Regent Leadership.
Most recently, Selva attended the Essentials of Leadership course at London Business School’s and Harvard Business School’s “Building and Sustaining a Successful Enterprise” course under the stewardship of Professor Clayton Christensen, the world-renowned scholar in disruptive and sustainable innovation. He has also studied with Bob Proctor from the Proctor Gallagher Institute, Professor Luis Huete from IESE and has undertaken a range of programmes with Oxford Leadership.
The Regent Group views its corporate social responsibility as a priority and Selva gets involved in a number of community led initiatives. He is an expert panel member of the Education and Training Foundation; a co-founder of Harmony House, an initiative harnessing and building upon community cohesion, with a view to preventing radicalisation; and a trustee of S-Foundation, a foundation set up to support less privileged children across the globe in their educational pursuits, set up in the memory of Selva’s late parents. He is a corporate fund raiser for St Luke’s Hospice.
Selva originates from Sri Lanka, and is proud to be a British Citizen, cherishing and respecting the UK, its heritage and values. He has received the Entrepreneur of the Year award at the 16th Asian Achievers Awards for his work in personal development. He was recently appointed as a Patron of The Prince’s Trust and is a benefactor of Combat Stress. In his spare time, Selva likes to indulge in music and is a keen public speaker.
Selva is a Chartered Management Accountant with an MBA and FRSA. He is a Proctor Gallagher Institute (PGI) certified consultant and a Fellow of Oxford Leadership.
